3...2...1... Blast Off! This camp is rockets, rockets and more rockets!
Build and launch a rocket everyday as you learn all about, you guessed it, rockets! Your child is in for an action-packed week focused entirely on rockets and the physics of rocket flight! Campers will learn the importance of teamwork in launching rockets and will have the opportunity to try their hand at each role! (This camp was previously titled 3,2,1 Blast Off.)
This camp is designed for students entering the 2nd through the 4th grade.
Daily Camp Topics: Rocket Scientist, Astronaut Training, Mission Control, Mission Recovery and Go for Launch!
All Mad Science Camps include a T-shirt for every camper as well as take-home science projects. Campers should always bring a snack and full day campers need to bring a sack lunch. Campers should wear appropriate attire for doing hands-on science projects (play clothes that can get dirty) and shoes that will stay on feet when children are running.
Note to Parents: Mad Science does not have the kids launch the rockets they actually build because we don't want to lose them. In addition, launch equipment and engines are not included in the take-home projects because by law they require adult supervision.
